This garment is made of 100% Silk taffeta. 

To display the contrast between the facade we show to others and the internal turmoil, I chose a contrasting fabric with variegated black vertical threads through it. The hanging on by a thread is shown through the dress "falling apart" at the seams, and it is stitched together with embroidery thread; this shows how she's trying to persevere and continue showing this put-together image even though she is falling apart inside.
